Community Guidelines, Site Rules & Bot Policy

Welcome to Soph-Hub! To ensure a positive, respectful, safe, and legal environment for everyone, please adhere to the following rules when using our site, its features (including Groups and Events), and our official Discord Bot.

General Conduct

• Be Respectful: Treat all users with respect. Harassment, bullying, threats, hate speech, or discriminatory language will not be tolerated in any part of the site or via the Discord Bot, including group walls, event chats, and LFG posts.
• No Spamming: Do not spam comments, entries, group posts, event RSVPs, bot commands, or other site features. Keep discussions relevant.
• No Illegal Activities: Do not promote, discuss, or link to illegal activities or substances.
• Profile and Username: Your username and profile (including avatar and banner) on Soph-Hub and your Discord profile (if interacting with the bot) must not violate any of the content restrictions listed below.

Content Restrictions (Profiles, Gifts, Snippets, Assets, Group & Event Content)

You are responsible for the content you share or create. This includes text, images, links, and any other media. The following types of content are strictly prohibited across the entire platform (including in private groups or unlisted events, if they come to the attention of moderators):

• Content that is illegal in Germany or internationally, including but not limited to: child exploitation material, promotion of illegal acts, or content violating applicable laws.
• Hate speech, racist, national socialist, xenophobic, homophobic, transphobic, or any other discriminatory content targeting individuals or groups.
• Content depicting or promoting extreme violence, gore, or non-consensual sexual content.
• Harassment, doxxing (sharing private information without consent), or content intended to bully or intimidate others.
• Malware, viruses, or any code intended to harm users or disrupt the service.
• Misleading or deceptive content, including impersonation of others.

Specific Asset Rules:

• Avatars Category: We do not support sharing fully pre-made avatars intended to circumvent 3DXChat's own avatar systems or sales. This category is primarily for sharing **outfits or modifications**. Submitted avatars should be designed as **neutrally as possible** to showcase the clothing or mod.
• Copyright/Ownership for Rooms & Avatars: You may only upload `.world` or `.avatar` files that **you have created yourself** or for which you have **explicit permission from the original creator** to share publicly or privately on this platform. Uploading content you do not own the rights to is a copyright violation and is strictly forbidden. This also applies to screenshots and other media used to showcase your assets.

Groups & Events

Group Creation & Management:

• Group Purpose: Groups should have a clear, non-offensive purpose that aligns with the general site rules.
• Group Content: All content posted within a group (wall posts, group description, banner, avatar, group outfits, hosted events) must adhere to the general Content Restrictions. Group owners and admins/managers are responsible for moderating their group's content.
• Group Names & Imagery: Must not be offensive, misleading, or infringe on trademarks.
• Membership Management: Group owners/admins/managers should manage their members fairly. Kicking members without reason or discriminatory practices are not allowed.

Event Creation & Hosting:

• Event Content: Event titles, descriptions, flyers, and any linked content must adhere to the general Content Restrictions.
• Accurate Information: Provide accurate details regarding event date, time, location (if applicable), and nature of the event. Misleading event information is not permitted.
• RSVP Management: Event hosts should manage RSVPs and participant roles fairly.

Looking For Group/Member/Job (LFG/LFM/LFJ):

• Appropriate Use: LFG posts should be genuine requests or offers related to 3DXChat activities, roles, or group memberships.
• Content: LFG post content (title, details) must adhere to general site rules and content restrictions. No spamming or misleading LFG posts.

Discord Bot Usage Policy

Our official Discord Bot is an extension of Soph-Hub and its use is subject to these rules and the Discord Terms of Service. By using the bot, you agree to the following:

• API Key Responsibility (Server Admins): If you register a Soph-Hub API key for your Discord server using the `!registerkey` command, you are responsible for the security of this key. This key links bot actions to your Soph-Hub account. Do not share it publicly. The bot provides this key for your server to interact with Soph-Hub features.
• Command Usage: Do not spam bot commands or use them in a way intended to disrupt the bot's service or the experience of other users.
• Data Interaction:
  • When you use bot commands that interact with your Soph-Hub account (e.g., `/eventinvite`, `/lfg_post`, `/createevent`), you authorize the bot to perform actions on your behalf on Soph-Hub using the registered API key for your server.
  • Information like your Discord ID and username may be used by the bot to link your Discord activity with your Soph-Hub account (e.g., for RSVPs, outfit claims).
  • Outfit claim data (which user claimed which outfit for a group/theme on a specific Discord server) is stored locally by the bot and is specific to that Discord server's context. It is not directly part of the main Soph-Hub website database but facilitates Discord-based organization.
• Adherence to Site Rules: All actions performed via the bot that result in content creation or modification on Soph-Hub (e.g., creating LFG posts, inviting users to events) must adhere to all other site rules and content restrictions outlined here.
• Bot Availability: While we strive to keep the bot operational, we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Features may be added, changed, or removed.
• Misuse: Misuse of the bot, attempts to exploit its functionality, or using it to violate any site or Discord rules may result in a ban from using the bot and/or Soph-Hub.

Copyright & Ownership (General)

• Respect intellectual property rights. Do not share content that infringes on copyrights, trademarks, or patents of others.
• While sharing BBCode is encouraged, avoid direct plagiarism. Give credit to original creators where possible if you adapt or use significant portions of their work.
• By uploading content (BBCode, Assets, Group/Event content), you grant Soph-Hub a license to host and display that content according to the visibility settings you choose (public/private). You retain ownership of your original creations.

Account Security

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password on Soph-Hub.
• Do not share your account credentials with anyone.
• Report any suspected unauthorized access to your account immediately.

Consequences of Violations

Violations of these rules (whether on the website or via the Discord Bot) may result in actions including, but not limited to:

• A warning from the administration.
• Removal of the offending content (including group or event content, or bot-generated data).
• Temporary suspension of your account privileges (uploading, commenting, creating groups/events, using bot commands).
• Permanent banning of your account from Soph-Hub and/or access to the Discord Bot.
• In severe cases or for illegal content, we may report to law enforcement authorities.

Decisions are made at the discretion of the site administrators. We aim to be fair, but reserve the right to remove content or users that disrupt the community or violate these guidelines.
